Performing at the Nook, Heaton Moor, in 2024 and 2025, SHIMEON performed to audiences who were ready to listen to his melodic songs. Accompanied by his acoustic guitar the singer songwriter performed songs from the 2010 album Dusty Old Soul and tracks from his upcoming new album.

Opening number “Just What I Do” was followed by “Where Love Betrays” and “Cotton Wool World” a song recorded by his mother Joyce Sutherland.

“His song writing is really inventive” a voice exclaimed, “he deserves to be famous” another proclaimed.

In his introduction Jay Taylor commented,

“I posted a quote from Ralph McLean from Ulster BBC and he said “Great songs and heartfelt lyrics” and I think he’s under selling it. This gentleman is a master songwriter and an amazing performer.” 

As the night continued SHIMEON bellowed out a riveting “The Band Played “How Great Thou Art” leaving a clear message for all to follow.
